Carmen Aiello Manager and Casting Director
Carmen works as both a manager AND as a casting director.
About his role as manager: Carmen is a Talent Manager and self proclaimed "Pitcher" at BOHEMIA GROUP where he has recently garnered 150 Series Regular auditions with casting, network and Producers for clients this past 2012 pilot season. In addition to his casting, Carmen has worked at various Talent Agencies as a Jr. Agent and Executive Assistant.
With experience on both sides of the table, Carmen has cast four SAG feature films this year including EXCISION which was an official selection of the SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL. Recently Carmen joined Gregg Smith Casting and Jason Fedusenko helping with Dirty Dancing remake for the west coast dance auditions.
Carmen is originally from Chicago, where he cast over 40 AEA stage productions with Next Theatre Company, Theatre Wit, Raven Theatre, The Piven Theatre and Red Orchid working next to Guy Van Swearingen and Michael Shannon (HBO's Boardwalk Empire).

PS- a note from Carmen: I would love to see everyone do scenes from features or television. I'm very pro-actor and constructive and work with everyone. BE PREPARED FOR IMMEDIATE ADJUSTMENTS. Please come willing to participate in group discussion. I'm fair and helpful and every student will leave feeling very accomplished. Scenes from plays are acceptable (they must still be a page and a half or less if they are in "play" format). No poetry or anything self written. Monologues are discouraged except for Shakespeare which should be performed in FIRST FOLIO ONLY.
FOR THIS WORKSHOP ONLY- if the scene is from a play or Shakespeare- or is a Shakespearean monologue, it DOES NOT need to be approved by us. This is the only workshop that is okay for (if the scene is from a film or tv show, it DOES need to be approved).
