She worked on the first season of Newsroom, and also as a Casting Consultant at ABC last pilot season, discovering newcomer Jane Levy for “SUBURGATORY” for fall 2011 and consulted on ABC’s pilots with Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Sony and ABC Studios. As a casting director, Ann scouted new comedians for Marcia Ross (EVP Disney Features Casting), at the Edinburgh, Montreal and Aspen festivals, and 25 cities in the U.S.
Next, she became a Talent Agent at Gersh and signed comedians Josh Wolf (CHELSEA LATELY) and Paul F. Tompkins, and represented for television Adam Ferrara, Greg Fitzsimmons, George Lopez, Brian Regan and Robert Schimmel.
Ann joined 20th Century Fox Television in 1998 first as Director, then V.P. Casting, where she oversaw casting of hundreds of comedy pilots and series. Ann created two development labs, AREA 51 at The Improv, and 20th Century Fox at the Coronet. She brought FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS to LA having seen them at the Edinburgh Festival, introduced Demetri Martin (IMPORTANT THINGS WITH DEMETRI MARTIN) early in his career to the FOX family and found talented sketch performers John Ross Bowie, Jamie Denbo and Seth Meyers (SNL) in New York and Chicago.
As a writer and producer, Ann co-wrote FREE RANGE for FOX, a half-hour comedy and produced pilots with the band THE BARENAKED LADIES and comedian JEFF ROSS, also for FOX. Ann’s experience is unique in the industry and she offers a tremendous wealth of information.
