Erica Silverman Pilot

Erica Silverman  is a Full or Associate CD with April Webster Casting (depending on the project), and works occasionally as a Co-Head CD with Scott David as well!

 

This is a special one day class: "How to Prepare for Pilot Season".  In addition to covering pilot season, the actors will also prepare a one-page scene from her scenes which we will post 48 hours before the workshop.

 

You will perform these scenes in front of the class.  

 

Every year, pilot season sneaks up on all of us. Suddenly, it's 16 hour days, endless scenes to prepare and scripts to read, auditions to tape... it's like being shoved into the deep end and unless you're prepared for what's about to come, you'll end up doggy-paddling your way through it, hoping to stay afloat. This class will provide some basics on how to prepare yourself for the madness that is pilot season.

 

We will go over:

 

- Headshots, resumes and reels - talk about what works for everything

- Putting yourself on tape - the do's and don't's of the self-tape

- Auditioning for a series regular, versus a co-star/guest star - breaking down the pilot casting process for each 

- Additional tips and advice going into January, 2013
