Pamela M. Staton
Pamela is one of the kindest, smartest CD's we know- and is the head of her casting company, Pamela M. Staton Casting. She is most proud of her ability to identify those actors that will be the "next big thing", and has an amazing memory for actors she has met. She has several projects in the works ( FAREWELL TOUR, SON OF A GUN, NEW DAWN and MURDER JUSTIFIED), and every time we bring her in, we hear nothing but great things about how she has helped our actors become better at their craft! She said: She wants to know all the good actors in town. If you're good, she's gotta meet you. She will always share nuggets of value. She loves praise reports, and will respond to emails.
We love her desire to give back to actors and help them reach the potential of their talent!
She began casting in 1997, and brings a plethora of knowledge and understanding to the inter-workings of the entertainment industry, having worked at Warner Bros. for 10 years, Walt Disney Studios, Universal Studios and Black Entertainment Television. She has also worked as a talent coordinator for several Awards shows and is the consummate team player. Her passion and enthusiasm reflect in her work, and she has cast numerous feature films over the last several years.
Pamela is great about bringing new talent to the forefront, as well as showcasing the talents of established name actors like Morgan Freeman, Michael Madsen, D.L Hughley, Chris Tucker, Debbie Allen and more. She is an active participant with the Casting Society of America, Independent Feature Project/West, Entertainment Industry Foundation and Women In Film.
Pamela spends a lot of time with each actor, so please be prepared for a somewhat longer workshop!
