2013 ACTOR'S KEY SPRING SHOWCASE AUDITION NOTICE:
THE INTERNATIONAL EDITION
Concept and Direction by Carmen Aiello
Produced by The Actor's Key
We are excited to announce that with so much success from our Holiday showcase, we are putting up another one! This time it’s a very special “International Edition”. What this means is we are looking for multilingual actors to do a scene in their native language, and again in English, as well as American actors doing a single scene in English.
Wherever you are from or whatever language you speak, we want to see you. The idea is to showcase actors from all parts of the world, including America, in an ensemble show- this is not your typical “showcase”! This showcase DOES require an audition, and spots are limited, so please read the full description for details on submitting and auditioning, and contact firstname.lastname@example.org for an audition time.
We are doing a series of one day commercial classes with commercial vet and acting teacher Bill Coelius, so feel free to sign up for one, or the whole series!
Callback Technique Intensive 101- Are you consistently making it to the callback level, but not booking? Are you afraid of not knowing what to do in your first callback? This class investigates the things you need to know before your audition that deals specifically with the Art of the Callback. What should I expect? Should I do what I did in the audition? What is the one thing I need to do to book the job? In a three hour on-camera intensive, Bill Coelius will teach you everything you need to know to turn that callback into a job.
Ages 18 and up only please!
***Because this is a class, please do not schedule any workshops within 2 hours of the start time of this class***

Please Note: Mariko is renting The Actor's Key space for this seminar, but sign ups are done through her page (you can not use credits for this class because of this). You need to sign up on HER WEBSITE. The link is: http://marikoballentine.com/speaking
Mariko has been casting commercials and teaching actors for almost 30 years, and has auditioned literally thousands of actors. This is a very people-oriented calling. Mariko has a deep understanding of human nature and knows how to get the very best out of people.
In the last couple of years her “Acting Seminars” have taken on a new bend of sorts. While many great acting teachers focus on the technical aspects of acting, Mariko has been focused on the intangible…what happens inside of the hearts and minds of an actor that allows them to flourish or be defeated. Let Mariko change the way you look at things, and let your career flourish!

Marcus is an accomplished actor of stage, screen, and television, with a tremendous list of credits to his name (check his IMDB.com page for a list of some of the best television from the past 25 years). We are beyond thrilled to be able to bring such an accomplished professional to our studio to speak to our actors.
Ages 18 and up ONLY- please note, this is a free workshop, BUT we are charging $10 to hold your spot (to avoid people registering and not showing up). When you arrive, that will be put into your account as a credit towards a future workshop or class. Spots are limited.
You CAN just show up and not have to pay anything, but realize there is a limit to the number of spots available, hence the deposit (the people running this are donating their time for free, so we want to be sure we have people there to learn from them).
