Our goal is to give as much individual attention to each client as possible, in order to learn their wants and needs in this business. We believe that by helping actors meet casting directors, we can help guide them on how to book their next acting job.
Workshops are a way to bypass sending out mass mailings of hundreds of headshots and resumes. Instead, the actor's headshot and resume go directly into the casting director's hand.
At the request of a trusted parent/stage mom, we wanted to let you know a little bit about the ladies who run The Actor's Key. So without further adieu, A Brief History of Kristen and Katie:
Kristen brings a BA in Communications and a vast knowledge of the entertainment industry, specifically acting and casting. She also has a strong history of working with children and young adults, both as a substitute teacher (K-12) and as a volunteer coach (U-10 AYSO Girls' Soccer Teams). She is a working actress who has appeared on Monk, Criminal Minds, Nickelodeon's Just For Kicks, the upcoming Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place and more. She has been an agent's assistant at KTA (Kolstein Talent Agency) in NY, and interned at several casting offices in Los Angeles. She has a vast knowledge of film, television, and the inter-workings of the "business" of acting.
Also a seasoned actress, Katie studied acting in New York City and also works as an intern at an top LA agency. She has extensive experience working with children and young adults through working at cheerleading camps as well as a nanny in NY! Both ladies grew up on the East Coast (Kristen in New Jersey, Katie in West Virginia) and pursued acting in New York City for several years prior to moving out to Los Angeles!
